It consists of two independent located side by side on the same plot of land: the « Antares » solar farm of 60MW [AC] nominal power whose production will be evacuated onto the Etesal network via a 115kV sub-station, and the « Spica » solar farm of 20MW [AC] nominal power whose production will be evacuated onto the Delsur network via a 46kV sub-station. GenSun established a 50/50 joint venture with Spain’s TSK to win the corresponding EPC and O&M contracts. The project financing (by IDB associated to Proparco) took a long time to reach close, and hence the first phases of the project execution (Plant Engineering and procurement of long lead items) were executed under an LNTP regime: within this frame, GenSun carried-out the complete detailed design of the PV Plant (DC and AC LV/MV Sections) during the last quarter of 2015, whilst TSK carried-out the detailed design of the HV Section. The site preparation (the size of the plot is approximately 200Ha) and the construction of the peripheral walls were executed during the first quarter of 2016, whilst the procurement contracts of the main constitutive elements of the Plant were negotiated during the first half of this year. The EPC contract whose value fetches 105 million US dollars has been signed on May 30, 2016, the construction starting immediately after with civil works, the latest date for injection of the production to the respective grids being set at March 31, 2017. The engineering of both Plants is based on Trina Solar polycrystalline 315Wp modules in a « 6H » configuration on fixed tilt steel structures with screwed piles by Krinner, and containerized conversion stations (2.2MVA central inverter + LV/MV trafo + cells + switchgear) by SMA. The two Plants have a cumulative computed annual production of 177’300MWh. The GenSun/TSK joint venture was also awarded the O&M contract for both Plants over a period of twenty years, the two first years being operated jointly, the following eighteen years by GenSun on its own (which will bring its overall O&M worldwide portfolio to 450MW). gensun-admin Comments are closed.
